Daria Souvorova to Review the 2025 AOS Awards
At our Thursday, October 2, meeting, Daria Souvorova will talk about the 2025 AOS awards, for which her affiliation with the Houston Judging Center has prepared her.
A recent transplant to Houston, Daria hails from Minsk, Belarus. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from PRATT Institute and a Master of Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Professionally, Daria teaches for Tomball ISD and is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston.
Daria has been growing orchids for the past 20 years and has committed to Texas-sized scale growing since coming here two years ago. She is a student in the Houston Judging Center, a member of the AOS Education Committee, and the incumbent Vice President of SWROGA.
Daria prefers to grow bifoliate Cattleya species and primary hybrids, as well as Polychilos Phalaenopsis species.
The meeting begins at 7:30pm at First Christian Church, 1601 Sunset Boulevard, Houston.
