June was a big month for HJC, starting on May 31 with the New Orleans show. This is the largest show that HJC services with regard to number of plants. We gave six awards—four AMs, a CCM, and the show trophy.

We had a surprising number of plants—21 in all—at our regular monthly judging on June 21. We gave two awards:

• Daria Souvorova’s Vanda Daniel’s Sunshine ‘A la memoire de Yoyo White’ received an HCC of 77.
• Jay Balchan’s Cattleya Massangeana ‘Tonya’ received an AM of 81.
