How to Choose the Right Orchid
A learning opportunity via panel discussion at the October 5 meeting
For the October 5 HOS meeting, we are going to try something a little bit different…
We will have a panel of orchid experts from the HOS membership who will discuss “How to Choose the Right Orchid.”
Topics include:
- What information can you learn from the tag and the hybridizer’s description
- What to look for if you have the opportunity to physically inspect an orchid before buying
- Who are some of the best vendors for various genera of orchid
The panel will take questions from society members, then we will conclude with a “Price is Right” game, where society members can win free orchids as prizes!
The meeting will be held at First Christian Church, 1600 Sunset Boulevard. Join us for what promises to be a lively discussion, and please bring your blooming plants for the show-and-tell table.
