After dark and under difficult conditions on Friday night, May 6, 20 AOS judges completed the ribbon judging and began AOS judging in four teams at the Houston Orchid Society Show & Sale. The judges granted five quality awards—four to members of HOS and one to a Galveston Bay Orchid Society member. Congratulations to all who participated in this joyous occasion.

Five starry, non-resupinate flowers and six buds on a sturdy, 37-cm upright inflorescence, four flowers and three buds on a second inflorescence; sepals and petals plum purple, chartreuse basally; lip cupped, dark plum purple marginally, chartreuse centrally with dark purple radiating lines, column chartreuse; substance firm; sepal and petal texture satin, lip texture matte.

Twenty-one pleasing flowers and seven buds on one judged, arching 36.0-cm inflorescence, nine flowers and four buds on a second inflorescence; sepals elliptical, white, suffused pink; petals obovate, white, suffused pink; lip trilobed, side lobes yellow spotted carmine proximally, carmine distal third, midlobe deltoid, carmine, midvein pink; column white, blushed carmine, anther cap white; substance firm; texture crystalline, lip matte; plant 27.5 cm wide and 8.5 cm tall.
