Two awards were granted by Houston Judging Center on December 18, 2021.

The first award was given for Fredclarkara Desert Bordeaux HCC 79 ‘LIB’ (Fdk. Painted Desert x Mo. Alexa), presented by Larry I. Baker from Galveston Bay Orchid Society. The plant had 22 cupped flowers saturated burgundy, almost black, on one 32-cm-long pendant inflorescence; sepals and lanceolate, acuminate, sepals with pale, narrow picotee; lip spatulate, margin finely fringed, callus with four protuberances; column and anther cap dark burgundy; substance firm, texture satin.
